*Calendula is renowned for it’s beneficial action for skin problems such as eczema, wounds, cuts, burns and fungus disease. It contains many anti-inflammatory active principles such as saponines, flavonoids, carotenoids and also many antibacterial and antiseptic active principles such as alcohol triterpenoids and essential oils.

*Comfrey root is one of  the rare plants that contain allantoin, active principle that powerfully regenerates tissues by stimulating cell multiplication. It also contains softening mucilages and emollients, astringent and anti-inflammatory tannins and antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory caffeic acids.

*Burdock root accelerates healing of wounds and burns because it helps repair the tissues, reduces inflammation and reduces itching. It contains many polysaccharides that have antimicrobial and emollient principles.

Active ingredients and description:

Amentoflavone (flavonoid) and tannins: Anti-inflammatory. They protect blood vessels, are vasotonic and reinforce capillaries. Astringens, anti-inflammatory and et analgesic.

Capsaicin: Analgesic, circulatory tonic, vasodilator and anti-ischaemiac

Ricinoleic acid: Anti-inflammatory by affecting prostaglandins and antileukotrienes

Methyl salicylate Very anti-spasmodic; analgesic, vasodilator and anti-inflammatory. It reduces pain by blocking the production of prostaglandins coming from inflmmatory cells and has a local warming effect by the activation of peripheric circulation thus releasing toxins.

 Eugenol Very antalgic and analgesic, warming and anti-inflammatory.


Menthol and menthone Very antalgic and analgesic, refreshing, vasoconstrictor and anti-inflammatory.

 Citronnellal Very anti-inflammatory, antalgic and antispasmodic.
